Mister Cartoon Partners With Zenetti

Tattoo Legend and Car Collector Will Debut New Wheel Design at SEMA 2014

LOS ANGELES, CA – October 31th, 2014 – World-renowned tattoo, graffiti and design artist Mister Cartoon has joined forces with Zenetti on a specially designed wheel that will debut at this year’s 2014 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Tradeshow in Las Vegas, NV on November 4, 2014.

Various Zenetti wheel designs have adorned many of Mister Cartoon’s personal vehicles for more than a decade, so the collaboration was a natural extension of his and Zenetti Wheels’ relationship. The avid custom car collector and builder has been obsessed with wheel design for years and readily jumped at the opportunity to design his first wheel.

“What I like about Zenetti is that we have the same taste when it comes to the aggressiveness of a wheel, and they are trusted and respected in the streets,” says Mister Cartoon. “I felt it was time to create my own wheel design with a company I have been using and trusting for the past 10 years.”

Designed to appeal to owners of both high-end domestic and import vehicles, Mister Cartoon sketched a few wheel renderings before coming up with one that he felt combined his signature style with Zenetti’s aggressive wheel aesthetics. Named “Dhrone,” the two-piece wheel will feature forged barrels and a step lip, with a detailed design on the wheel’s center cap (with optional non-spinning component) designed by Mister Cartoon to further showcase its uniqueness.

The “Drohne” wheel will be available in 20” and 22” fitments and will be available in limited numbers. Three finishes will be available for its fall 2016 release, including Machined Black, Matte Black w/ Glossy Black Lip and Brushed Gold Tint w/ Gold Lip. Mister Cartoon also lent his artistic expertise in the wheel’s packaging, borrowing techniques he has learned in previous apparel collaborations to create a one-of-a-kind design worthy of being a keepsake. Each wheel will retail for $350-$750, depending on size and finish.

“It’s an honor to work with Mister Cartoon and to be able to bring something fresh to the wheel industry,” says Zenetti’s CEO Saul Berman. “We have a long relationship with Mister Cartoon and always provide him with wheels for his custom vehicle projects. We admire not only his ability as an artist and designer, but his consistent effort to give back to the community – which is something he shares with our values at Zenetti.”
